FITW is no longer printing on the W-2 forms, how can this be corrected?

Open the Payer and the W-2 form. On the Form Entry screen, click Default. ClickOK and then click in the FITW field and hit the F6 key. (Notice at the top of the screen beside the F6 PRINT is now capitalized). Hit the Page Down key to Save.

How do I print W-2’s to the manual feed tray?

At the W-2/1099 Forms Filer Menu select Options>Printer Settings. On the Printer Device and Codes screen add the following command to the Forms line to use the manual tray. Can W-2 forms be printed on double-wide dot-matrix forms?

Yes, the 1099-etc software will print on the W-2 2-wide dot-matrix forms.

I am printing W-2’s on a laser printer using pre-printed forms, do I need the Laser Generation Module in the software?

No. The Laser Generation Module is for printing the form and the data on blank plain white paper.

You need to change the Printer Mode from 2. HP Laser Printer (pre-printed forms) to 4. HP Laser Printer (laser generated forms).

Can I use any printer with 1099-ETC?

Most printerscan be used. If you aren’t using a true HP LaserJet printer you may need to enable PCL emulation. You can do this by selecting Options > Printer Settings > Next and selectingPrinter Requires PCL emulation.

Is there a way to print payer address labels?

Yes. Use Print Payer List/Mailing Labels w/o EINfrom the Main Menu, Utilities>Print Utilities.

Yes, the indivdual checks will not automatically go to any general ledger accounting software package however; you can export payroll totals to the QuickBooks General Journal (AMS Payroll Menu>Options>Import & Export Options>S. Export to QuickBooks General Journal).
